Our second project with these returning clients, this Bentleigh home blends careful heritage restoration with a modern rear extension. At the front, we stripped back the painted façade to reveal the original face brick, restored the tuckpointing and re-roofed in terracotta tiles, while period skirting, architraves and cornices keep the home’s character inside. At the rear, a new open-plan kitchen, butler’s pantry, living and dining area opens onto a covered alfresco and Merbau deck, with bathrooms finished in brushed gold tapware and feature tiling.
